Aaron is a guy I met through friends a few years ago now. While their friendship hasn't lasted, ours has. On one of his visits to Sydney we organised this shoot, our second collaboration. The first, Gone Bush, was posted on here some time ago.
Some models bring a lot of energy to a shoot and some are more subdued. Aaron definitely fits the first category. He has an amazing zest for life and always has a twinkle in his eye and I think would say yes to nearly any adventure you threw at him. Last year we had plans to do a road trip together up the West Coast of Australia from his hometown of Perth but Covid put an end to those plans and I'm not sure when travel will open up to that part of the world.
The morning of this shoot was one of those slightly hazy mornings over Sydney Harbour and we set off early not quite knowing what to expect. Washaway beach is a tiny little beach on the harbour, named so because when the tide is high, there is no beach. In fact last summer even at low tide the sand had all been washed away.
Aaron looks like the kind of guy who if you found yourself stranded on a desert island with, you'd feel fine about it. Strong, a little scruffy, cheeky as hell and a very able man, you'd have someone safe to survive with, and snuggle with.
