Getting Wet
Added 2021-04-22 09:56:02 +0000 UTCAfter two solo gallery exhibitions I was thinking of what I might do for a third if I planned one. Lots of my photo shoots are in or near water and even personally, water is therapeutic to me and relaxing, so a series based on that idea was on the cards.
I started experimenting with trying to find the direction I wanted to go to make it a cohesive series but I couldn't find my way. Water will always be a constant in my photography and one day that water-based exhibition may come to fruition but so far, it hasn't.
While I find being in water, whether under the shower or swimming in the ocean, relaxing and blissful, that isn't always the case for my models. Jorge for instance can't even swim and Jonathan Best is Irish and wasn't a wildly confident swimmer. I'll have to be careful not to drown anyone should this idea happen.
In the end the next series I released was my Tribe series but that was launched online instead of in a gallery.
