It's not a huge surprise to find out there are some creepy photographers out there but it is a surprise to find out just how many.
Yesterday I had conversations with two of my models on the topic. A few weeks ago I posted an instagram story shocked that people ask me why I don't try and f*ck my models. One of my models after I expressed my disgust at the question commented, "Not all of your colleagues have caught up yet". He went on to say that he'd been relatively lucky but one had been quite creepy.
The second model, when we were chatting about the problem estimated that 60% of the photographers he's worked with have been creepy in some way. That is disgusting. Why do people behave this way? If I hit on my models you sure as hell wouldn't be seeing them come back to work with me several times. I take it as a sign that they are comfortable with me that I've photographed some models 4 & 5 times.
It's guys like these sleazy photographers that give us all a bad name and make it harder to get guys to feel comfortable posing for nude photos. No model should ever have to put up with a photographer making them feel uncomfortable like that.
