Down and Dirty

One of the lucky things about being a gay photographer in a city like Sydney is that there are lots of gay sports groups/associations. I've photographed a couple of them now with the latest being in the middle of 2019 when I was asked to contribute to the calendar and exhibition of the Silverbacks.

You'll hopefully be able to guess that the Silverbacks are the gay wrestling club here in Sydney. We took ourselves off one very foggy morning. Fog is not a common thing like that day but it worked beautifully for lighting and moodiness when Bruce and Mohsen were rolling around in the sand.

This is not the first shoot I've done in these dunes. The Wrestle Me download was intended to be on these big dunes but on the day we attempted that shoot there were too many people to have nude men wrestling. On this day we were luckier because of that fog. Also the models weren't nude this time sadly.
