There are some photographers that find their signature style and make a great career from it. Personally I can usually pick a Bruce Weber image or a Annie Leibovitz photo instantly. Then there are other photographers that mix things up. I bounce between natural light outdoor shoots and studio shoots and while I think I'm relatively consistent in each individual segment I don't know that people can pick an outdoor shot of mine if they'd only seen studio shoots.
This shoot with the beautiful Fagner was a bit of an experiment. It was a home studio setup with limited space and lights that are temperamental. When I try new things it doesn't always go to plan. The backdrop was sheets of metallic silver cardboard and because I stuck it to the wall with blu-tak it is slightly bend and therefore there are lots of curved reflections in the images. Do I think these images are ideal? Not really but they aren't horrible and they have taught me a lot.
One day in my magical studio set up that I create (in my fantasy world where I have lots of money) it will have amazing amounts of space as well as considered space opposite the shooting area so there aren't distracting reflections. It's all a constant learning experience.
