Added 2021-02-09 08:53:33 +0000 UTCLeading up to my Tribe series, an exhibition I launched on twitter rather than in a gallery, I did some test shoots while I was working on concepts and figuring out what I was going to do. This shoot with JP, a Brazilian model who was in Sydney at the time, was part of the exploration. In some of the other shots from this shoot, I had some face paint on him. For me the combination of the face paint with the sunny day in nature really didn't work.
This shot of JP on a rock edge looking out over the Pacific Ocean had a beautiful, simple yet epic feel to me. It suggests a world full of opportunity and maybe it's a good reminder that times will change and things will improve from this Covid world that we exist in now.
