Always a risk

For a very long time I only ever photographed people solo and the first time we had more than one model I was very worried about the dynamics. One of the first times was two good friends who had never seen each other nude before who I photographed for my first gallery exhibition but in the end, the shots came out really well.

The shoot above was a great example of it going really well. The morning was overcast and even a tiny bit rainy so we went for a lost-boys, moody vibe on the shoot with David and Sam and it couldn't have gone better. In fact there were moments their chemistry was a little too evident. I had to have a bit of a giggle at both of them trying to distract themselves from getting too excited.

For those wondering why not just let it go there, Sam doesn't pose for erotic (erect) shots and David is particular about when he does and the visual story to go with it. Besides, the two of them had only just met so it was probably a bit awkward to have a camera recording that reaction.

I've gone on to photograph both of the guys since, separately and would work with either of them, or both of them any time.
