Un/Masked
Added 2020-08-25 05:57:11 +0000 UTCA couple of weeks ago I finally got back in the studio for the first time in months. Marko is a guy I met through friends a couple of years ago and recently we were chatting and I discovered he loves origami and makes some beautiful elaborate origami masks. We had discussed doing a shoot a while back but it was his idea to do a shoot based around his masks.
They look of the masks is a surprising mix of medieval, glam, fetish and delicacy. The metallic gold that he used in these masks created specifically for the shoot caught the light so beautifully as well. The fact that Marko has some body hair added to the sexiness. It's not common for me to work with hairy guys as smooth skin showcases muscle definition better. In this concept though the hair is perfect. Smooth skin would have made the whole thing look a bit "Costume" instead of the moody glam warrior that it turned out to be.
