The studio was locked in and I woke up to a message from the model saying he couldn't make it so I put a call out on Instagram and Facebook asking if anyone was available and keen to do a shoot. Troy responded to my call and saved the day.
As we discussed in our Model Chat video last week, we were already planning to do the beach shoot the next weekend but this became our first collaboration. I'll be the first to admit that this concept was vaguely thought out at best. It ended up with a slightly bonkers, minimalist vibe that I actually quite like. The colours are muted, the background is a plain white backdrop and it's just Troy and the ball. I decided on the desaturated colour treatment because it was the middle of summer and Troy was very golden tanned (as you can see in the beach shoot) and this was the best way to bring the look together.
The original model who was lined up for the shoot is a straight adult-video model so whoever volunteered to fill the spot needed to not be shy. Shy is something Troy is not. We pretty much photographed him from all angles.
