The Reluctant Prince

I joined a networking site for models and photographers which helped but things really changed when Instagram took off. I could approach people with a more thorough portfolio right there at their fingertips. It became so simple to look at my the accounts of people I know and click through to their friends accounts if I thought they were suitable.
Mitch, the Reluctant Prince was one of those guys. He popped up in a friend's feed with his huge arms and square jawline so I sent him a message. Not too much later he and his fiancé came over to chat about the shoot. He was nervous and didn't know what to expect because he'd never posed for a photographer before. His fiancé was really keen for him to do it and she was joking about getting some raunchy shots for herself.
On the day we managed to get Mitch to relax enough so that I think by the end of the process he was enjoying himself and we definitely got some images that he is happy with having never seen himself like that before.
The idea behind the shoot was that Mitch represents someone forced into growing up and being responsible, in this case a Prince, and he runs away into the woods to escape his responsibility. Obviously running away never works and eventually our sweet Prince put his crown on and faced up to what was required. I can't confirm whether he put on pants or not.
This shoot was nearly five years ago and it was a long time before I started selling downloads which means I was shooting with a different mindset, possibly an exhibition so only a handful of images from each shoot were required.
