I can't remember where I met Philippe, whether it was on a model/photographer networking site or through Instagram, but when I met him to discuss a shoot I knew I wanted to work with him. He stands well over six feet tall and his shoulders were nearly as wide. What I wasn't expecting was for him to tell me he is Ukrainian. I'm no expert but he doesn't strike me as a cliched looking Ukrainian. Whatever his birthplace, he's a stunning man.
We did the shoot down at my closest nude beach and funnily enough some friends were staying on their yacht just off shore and saw us doing the shoot even though it was early. Philippes beautiful skin worked so well against the varying tones of the sandstone rocks he was against.
During the editing process I decided on a mix of some shots in black and white with dark shadows, and some shots playing up the warmth of the rocks and the skin tones. In most of the shots Philippe looks quite serious and seductively brooding but when he smiles, it's a wide and generous smile that lights up his whole face.
Sadly shortly after this shoot he moved to Los Angeles and I lost my chance to work with him again. Maybe one day he will come back and we can work together again.
