It has taken me many years of doing photography to take the chances presented to me and ask people to model for me even if I'm a bit daunted. Antonio was touring Australia with a burlesque/circus/cabaret show and after the show I started following him on Instagram and he followed me back. A few weeks later I sent him a message and was very pleasantly surprised to get a response. The show had left Sydney but was going to be going to my home town about an hour south in a few weeks time.

Antonio had never posed nude before but despite the slight language barrier I managed to ease his concerns and lock in a shoot. Now I didn't take up nude photography until after I'd moved out of home and away from this city so I wasn't entirely sure about locations but I took a punt on a place I knew about and we had some pretty solid privacy for the shoot.

Now, I'm always in awe of dancers, gymnasts, circus performers and anyone with a mastery of their body so getting to photograph a talented hand balance artist was a joy. Throw in the fact that he was naked, gorgeous and a very sweet guy made it one of my favourite shoots. At one point we left the relative privacy of the little cove where we did most of the shoot and went out onto the rock shelf which had beautifully reflecting water on it, only to hear "oh my" from above. An older woman could see from 20-30 metres away on the cliff above that Antonio is gorgeous and he was naked and she definitely appreciated the view.
