Working with Alfie
Added 2020-07-15 22:25:35 +0000 UTCAlfie Arcuri was the winner of The Voice Australia in 2016 and a couple of years ago I was lucky enough to meet him through friends. It turns out he's also a completely delightful human. You hear of so many celebrities being rude or arrogant but Alfie is just none of those things.
He turned up to the small studio that I hire and we got to work. We played around with a few different outfits and even destroyed an old tuxedo jacket of mine with some clay for part of the shoot. We were using a music video he'd done with the amazing James Demitri which was coming out a few months later, as inspiration. To be honest I don't think he's ever used the shots so he may not have been happy with them and as someone who usually gets hair and makeup and shoots with a full crew, I totally understand.
He was my first celebrity subject and what a great way to start. From here I have no idea how to make more celebrity contacts.
