WIPWed John Sheridan for Bruce Boxleitner
Added 2021-06-09 15:00:07 +0000 UTCI hinted there might be some Babylon 5 for this week's WIPWed. I got meet Bruce Boxleitner at Cyphacon a couple years ago. He was very nice, he talked about his whole career from Tron to Tombstone to B5 to Supergirl, and spoke super fondly about B5. He really enjoyed portraying John Sheridan (Although I got the impression he really wanted to do more westerns) This drawing I actually gave him as a present when I got my signed photo from him. He noted that he was smiling in it. "I'm not usually smiling in pictures" Whose fault is that, Bruce? lol. Honestly I was just glad he realized it was him... I mean context clues help since I was giving it to him while dressed in my Army of Light jacket... but Bruce Boxleitner is like my kryptonite his is impossible for me to draw an accurate likeness of and not for lack of trying I promise you. SleepySnowFinch and I did a whole "learn to draw bruce" party once. Unfortunately I also decided to write a long-form webcomic about his character. I've gotten in the habit of having someone address Sheridan by name at the top of every episode so the audience knows this random bearded white guy is what John Sheridan looks like today, get used to it, it's not getting any better. lol
