March is Moving Month

TL;DR: I'm moving all of my books from Gumroad to Patreon. That's it. Hopefully if you've bought from Gumroad before, you should be able to easily buy from Patreon in the future. If you care why we're* moving, read on.

Last year, Gumroad decided it wasn't going to host 'pornographic material' anymore. Normally, this wouldn't concern me, because generally speaking (and I'm fairly sure court rulings have been made on this...) pornography is seen as visual media.

However, Gumroad chose to explicitly (ahem) call out written material / literature in their announcement, and welp, that includes moi. This, by the way, is undoubtedly caused by decisions on the side of Gumroad's payment processors (who as a monolithic block of companies continue to subtly try to decide what you should be able to see, read or listen to).

Now, honestly, the announcement happened a while back and I've yet to see any punitive actions on the Gumroad side. That said, knowing that they may at any point drop the hammer and steal away money that I'm owed, I don't feel comfortable remaining over there.

With Patreon's shop, I basically get almost all the functionality of Gumroad and, clearly, it gets to sit right alongside the Patreon itself. As Patreon is where I'm directing most of my energy these days, it's a good match, IMO.

On March 5th, I'll be removing all current product from Gumroad. That's important to note for two reasons.

2) If for some reason you bought something from Gumroad and you have not downloaded it, you need to do so before March 5th, or (I believe) you'll have to re-purchase.
