also, is it not abundantly clear how desperate the entire family was to let us know how much every MAN on the cruise was into her? honey, i know it was the 90’s but anyone 50 nautical miles away knew amy was a lesbian (INCLUDING HER AND HER FAMILY!!!!!) i’m open to all theories about what happened but the family seems to be only open to sex trafficking (and weirdly almost pumped about it?) because to them, the thought of amy being a sex worker for MEN and POSSIBLY having biological children somewhere is way more comfortable than her—dead or alive—being her fierce gay self (which i’m sure they call a “lifestyle”) i could be wrong but….come on. the brother is gay and the dad wrote a hate-letter and the mom is weirdly giddy about the idea of her fantasy grandchildren born into sex slavery because by any means necessary she will have grandkids. straight ones hopefully!!!! 🙃🙃
