Eggs for Bart Remake - Title Announcement + BETA BUILD v0.4

Apologies for the wait between the previous build and the last, a lot of stuff has been in the works behind the scenes such as Steam verification... LLC creation... writing... boring stuff. Also I did take a short break to avoid burn out, and you may notice that we skipped a version number... v0.3 was a broken mess so we are just gonna pretend like it didn't exist

Anyway this build features not a ton of new content in terms of story, the intro scene has been updated and a sequence that takes place in the kitchen to showcase the RE-style item inspection mechanic with the letter you can read and rotate around posted on the fridge. The real meat and potatoes of this build is the amount of bug and quality of life fixes, pretty much everything that was previously found by you guys in the previous builds has been patched! There was this one glitch I almost wanted to keep in, where if you can clip the camera through a wall and inspect a closet in the next room you would teleport inside of it allowing you to clip through rooms and walls... while fun in practice this would be too broken to keep into the game and break immersion. So sad.

Other than that, the camera feel and collision has been improved, the flashlight radius has been expanded to brighten a larger area, several mechanics have been ironed out and the player controller is pretty much where I want it to be in the final game. The BIG addition has to be the brand new PAUSE MENU AND SETTINGS SCREEN!!! That's right, you now have control over the graphics, performance, and full screen options. AND mouse/stick sensitivity. About time!!! There's also button prompts in the bottom left of the screen that are context sensitive and will give you more information on what does what.

The game map has also been expanded with a rough outline of the main roads surrounding the house, and a shop has started development in the southern area of the map that will be the first location you go to at the beginning of the game. However, doesn't it seem a little far away? If only you could like drive a car or something.

I added car. You can now drive around and zoom around the map!!! Let me know how the controls feel! It should be improved wayyy more since the driving segment in Eggs for Bart Chapter 3, the physics are more realistic and you can flip your car by tilting the control stick as opposed to a button that poorly detects if you're flipped over or not. The button prompts on the bottom left of the screen to a really nice job of communicating how to control the car, try out the controls both with your keyboard and a gamepad if you have one!

That is honestly about it for all of the new additions, but the bug fixes improve the experience enough on it's own so I highly encourage you to check this one out and let me know whatcha think. Other than game development, I've passed Steam Verification and can finally start integrating it with Steam services! The first pass of the store page has also been completed, but still has a ways to go.

Also... the games final name has been decided, in addition to the first outline of the script being completed. I've found the most fitting name to be DREADSHELL. Short, sweet, and pays homage to the original game while creating it's own identity. There's even a double meaning to the name which won't come into play until the finale of the game, so speculate on that all you like. The game is shaping up super nicely so far and I'm excited to show you what I've got cooking!
