NIA,15 "The Cookout" - research

Happy Sunday!
So I started working on the script and I'm doing research on African American cookouts but I don't have much experience as I've never been to an AA cookout and I want to get it right!
I've been to Guyanese and Jamaican back yard gatherings and BBQs while living in London but not in the USA.
I have some initial ideas.
So obviously I don't want to spoil anything but I was wondering if some of you would be willing to review the story and provide feedback? Once I have a first draft?
I'd need maybe 2-3 volunteers.
