Summary:
Crowley is in a mood. And Aziraphale is going to find out why. He's getting a bit more than he bargained for - not that he minds.
Excerpt:
“Whatever is the matter with you, dear boy?”
“Don’t know what you mean.” Crowley didn’t even pause his scrolling past text entry after text entry he didn’t take in.
“Something is clearly bothering you.”
“Nope,” the demon said, voice low and gravelly. “Everything’s just fine.”
“Everything should be fine, yes. We had a lovely morning, a wonderful day, and a nice lunch. You didn’t have a paper to read at the café” - Was that a low growl coming from Crowley? - “so human politics can’t be the issue. And you would enjoy griping about that in any case. There was even that poor fellow who got fined for a parking violation just outside the café because he followed your example.” At this, at least, Crowley snorted, but it sounded a bit half-hearted to Aziraphale.
“Which is why I told you everything’s fine. So. Drop. It."
