Courtney Cox was actually pregnant when they filmed this. Which is why shes wearing baggy stuff all the time. If you look at the scene where she sits on the chair and pretends to have contractions, you can see Matthew Perry quickly placing a coat on her lab to hide the baby bump lol.

2025-07-31 15:48:57 +0000 UTCThank you Nick and Cody for appreciating and loving FRIENDS. Some jokes and even situations can be seen as outdated or of poor taste. But it’s like that with any shows in the 90s, the humor and jokes can be a hit at the time..but a miss nowadays. Also, I agree with you both when it comes to the “Ross” hate or the whole “Ross and Rachel has a toxic relationship” debate. I really did not like how they basically used Ross’ divorces and or failed marriages as jokes. Cuz his first divorce with Carol is what scarred him and bruised his ego and confidence. That’s where his trauma + jealousy + childish petty behavior all stems from. If he finally gets into a great relationship he tends to feel not good enough or is in constant competition/comparison with his partner’s exes or guy friends or coworkers. He clings or becomes overprotective cuz he’s scared that he will get cheated on or have a break up. Which is so interesting how it was his own bad decision of sleeping with someone else that ruined his relationship with Rachel. Granted, they were on a break and at that point in time and there was no clarification from Rachel about what that really meant. Ross still should not have done that and I don’t blame Rachel for breaking up with him. If you think about it, that’s literally life. You make mistakes, you fight, you make up, and etc. Ross and Rachel were not perfect and they did not claim they were..they had their flaws and yes toxic tendencies. But through all their ups and downs, they still remained close friends. I feel they had more GOOD and GENUINE moments be it friendship and romantic that overshadowed the bad things that happened between them. We saw both of them grow throughout the series and ultimately mature with each other. The love and care has always been there and deep down the romantic love was always hidden. Honestly, it was just TIMING when it came to Ross and Rachel. They always held back their feelings cuz one of them were in a relationship. Very much like in real life when Jennifer and David did have a crush on each other the first season of the show. But they respected each other and their respective partners at that time, they never crossed that line. But we saw how they were in the later seasons especially when they had Emma, how mature they both became and how well they balanced each other out. I was so upset that they did not build up Ross and Rachel in season 9 and did that weird Joey and Rachel thing in the end. Yeah we knew Joey liked Rachel in s8, but Rachel politely shut him down. Idk it was really weird to me like I said I would rather have Ross and Rachel to have explored where their relationship with go from there cuz Ross wanted to be together at that point in time. But yeah I think people nowadays just want to say anything about TOXICITY and not really know what the meaning of it is. I’m happy for the most part that with the ending except for Joey. I wished he found a real relationship and got a role in something. I know there is the JOEY tv show, but like even then it was not picked up and was a short lived show. There was no proper ending and I wanted so much for Joey to find true love and become successful. 🥺
