2024-12-17 14:44:39 +0000 UTCI do agree that fans of people’s channels do in fact have para social relationships that makes them feel the need to defend content creators without knowing them, which I think can be problematic, BUT, as I said, I don’t mind people offering their opinions in a RESPECTFUL way…there’s never a need to insult or be rude to get your point across, I mean you can do whatever you want, but it’s just not tactful or kind, which costs literally nothing. For example, how you are responding to this viewer, Sloane, actually makes you come off quite triggered and as you said “stop letting words work you up so much” when you in fact are getting worked up by one’s words. Which makes sense, because despite what you think, words have meaning. The word obtuse means “of low intelligence” and not at all the word I meant to use, and it undermines my entire comment by using a word only meant to insult someone instead of offering constructive criticism. You could have written thoughtful criticism on parasocial relationships but because you felt the need to insult cause you were clearly triggered on behalf of my comment, it just makes you come off as angry and hypocritical since you yourself were triggered by one’s words, which according to you, makes you as you put it, a “snowflake”

People are allowed to respond with their opinion to the reactors opinion. You don't need to white knight for people and get offended on their behalf. Saying an observation was obtuse is not calling someone names. Get a fucking grip. Snowflakes are ruining the way people interact you gotta get it together. Stop letting words work you up so much. If a word like obtuse makes you write three paragraphs the world is going to be very tough to you. lol

2024-12-13 04:15:11 +0000 UTCSee, I'm mad that Monica told Phoebe, not because she had Joey keep their secret but because she wasn't certain who Joey was talking about. Because if it was Phoebe, it would be SUCH different circumstances of her telling Joey to keep their relationship a secret. Simply because they were trying to keep their love a secret from everyone else, and not only did Joey not ask her to keep anything secret, but she was trying to encourage a couple people to express their love for one another. One person wanting a secret kept doesn't therefore dictate everyone always has to keep everything a secret from then on. There's just absolutely no connection to that IMHO. I can't see how you can draw the lines. The situations are just so different in every aspect. However, I agree with you that Monica shouldn't have said anything. I just think that for much different reasons. Mainly because she didn't know for sure who Joey was talking about. Because if it WAS Phoebe, it wouldn't have mattered, and the net result would have been positive. And if she knew it was Racheal she wouldn't have told Phoebe.

I always thought obtuse meant more “missing information” vs having such a negative connotation on one’s intelligence, which is definitely not what I meant. Other than the word obtuse, I stand by the rest of what I wrote. I’m always for people offering their opinions as long as it’s respectful.

This is a reaction channel and I think it’s only fair that they give their honest reaction and opinions. I watch another reactor for friends and they absolutely despise Rachel as a character and they hated the Joey and Rachel plot line. It was frustrating but who am I to say they should feel differently? And call them names like obtuse? I think it’s would be best if you be mindful as a viewer that everyone can have a difference of opinion. I actually found it interesting that they were annoyed by Monica. I wasn’t at first but I completely understand there point of view. Let’s try and be respectful of nick and Cody and the time they are dedicating to making this content. Not trying to be mean when saying this just don’t want nick to feel bad about expressing how he felt while watching it. Hope you understand where I’m coming from!

2024-11-28 23:29:38 +0000 UTCI know I’m probably the 20th person to tell ya’ll this, but this show is a comedy, so getting mad at the structure of a comedy where characters are revealing secrets in a funny way to move the plot line of the episode forward is a bit obtuse….I get ya’ll are really invested in the characters and that makes you feel really deeply and some type of way (which I love that you two do for the most part and why I watch your content Nick), but remember, it’s not always that deep….it’d be different if the show had a structure of a drama or thriller, then the weight of the characters actions in between major plot points would be more serious
