It’s Official!

WOO HOO!

I know I haven’t been exactly subtle about it, but I can officially announce that A Spell for a Smith has been greenlit to become an Original!
This is absolutely enormous for me. I haven't really gotten into it (I don't like to) but getting to this point was a tough. Tough journey. I went through so many rejections and set backs, but in the end, I'm so glad I did, because now I get to make a story I love FOR A LIVING.

I could never have gotten here without all of you. I mean it. I needed every ounce of support and encouragement and love you have shown me, and I am so eternally grateful to all of you! 

What does this mean for the story? Well...I get to start over. From the beginning. 🙃 While part of me is like NOOOOOOOOO WE WERE GETTING TO THE GOOD STUUUUUFFF!!! The other part of me is excited!! There are a lot of things I learned along the way, both in story telling and formatting, and things I wish I had done differently. Now I get a rare second chance to do it again! While on Canvas, I had to really pare down some parts, for the sake of finishing and posting. As an original, I have no such constraints! I have been working with an editor and marking which parts can be extended--and don't worry. I am still in charge of the story, and it isn't changing from what made you fall in love with it! It is only going to be more consistent--with far longer chapters!!! 

What does this mean for Patreon? Well...I am not sure yet. I have to talk with WEBTOON about what I am and am not allowed to do. I know I can no longer post chapters early here--and in fact I wont be posting any chapters here at all anymore. WEBTOON owns the story now...which gives me a mix of emotions.... I have been told that I am allowed to create bonus content here, and provide merch! After I iron out the exact parameters with them, I will update you all! I know this means that many of you will no longer be provided with what you wanted from my Patreon, and that is completely understandable. Please don't feel guilty if you want to bail! I am hoping to figure out new tiers and keep them worth it to you all. I am so so so grateful that you decided to support me while you did! Thank you!!!! 

So yeah! I will keep the story up on Canvas for probably another month or so. And I am not yet allowed to say or even hint at when the story will be back, which kills me. This step is so scary and so huge and so good but so intimidating! I am so thrilled that I will have a larger platform and more reach with the story, and I really hope to bring a light and wholesome and honest love story to lots of people, and I hope to make you all proud!!!
