Hey, Digital Femboys and Femchads!
Here's another early access upload for you guys!
Hikari no Densetsu (1986) Anime/Manga Promo [35mm 4K Scan]
This is a 35mm (16mm blowup) promotional ad for the 1986 anime Hikari no Densetsu, a series about Hikari Kamijou, a young, naïve, care-free, young woman who dreams of becoming an Olympic Champion in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics. It also comes from a 35mm print, though it is clearly a 16mm blowup. Despite this, it still looks great. As far as we know, no HD remaster was produced for this series, making this footage the first time the show has ever been seen in HD by anyone. The promo also advertises the series' serialization in Weekly Margaret Magazine, a weekly publication by Shueisha that focused on shojo manga. This print was attached/spliced in with another 35mm print we had. The print was scanned in 4K, and there was no processing, correction, or restoration done to the print whatsoever, so what you see is the print's natural state, after encoding and cropping for YouTube. The audio is sourced from the print itself.
This upload is set go public this Sunday. Don't wait to see it early!
