West Warwick Fire Marshal Denis Larocque had been to the Station multiple times for inspections upon the owners request. The owners were a former newscaster and schoolteacher who were unfamiliar with the nightclub business and sought advisement. He signed off on the foam insulation. He visited again to sign off before the intended sale.

I had heard about The Station nightclub fire before from 'spooky things I found on the internet' type Youtubers, but they always treated it with a lack of sincerity, or treated it as a spectacle, or never went as deep into the hows and whys as your episode does. The introduction of Jeff Derderian in the episode discussing fire safety for the news always makes my blood boil with despair - with the episodes where you cover a tragedy like this it usually always is a case of everyone who allowed it to happen should have known better, but never more so than here.
