Something very telling for ME was from the VIP's in an earlier season who noted to the effect that "The Korean Squid Games were the BEST this year"... which basically preloaded the reality that this is happening elsewhere, and potentially LOTS of elsewheres. The shitty thing of course is that in Lord Dampnut's 'Merka, there would already be enough demand for it to be a real thing, and enough rampant billionaires out there comfortable betting on it. It isn't even a stretch. To me, I assumed that In-ho realized that bringing down just one set of games in one country doesn't actually fix things in the long term. Hard reality is that given another year in South Korea, the games will likely be back again, because the underlying societal bullshit that made them possible/attractive still exists. (And I would reiterate that the final game hadn't actually started yet when idiot boy got dropped off the tower, so by the rules of the game, someone had to die... and Seong was all used up by the end of things, so there really wasn't even a choice.)
