To build on the corruption but heighten emotions part.
Sleeping with someone who looks like your mother is weird and exactly what someone who is twisted emotionally would do.
Mistreating her is also an outlit for his unresolved anger for his mom's choices.

ahhh Deanmon lol. Gotta love him. Also, hats off to the makeup department for Sam's entire appearance this episode, he looks just absolutely wrecked. They did a phenomenal job making Jared look just awful- sickly, thin, battered. Honestly they nailed it, and Jared and Jensen's acting is just superb, as always. Jared, desperate, scared, grieving, furious. And Jensen just freaking nailing the uncaring, sadistic, cruelness. Just a phenomenal premiere.
Also, I love your note about Dean not being without feeling. I think that's an important distinction, cause a lot of people often compare Soulless Sam to Deanmon, but it isn't really a fair comparison. When Sam lost his soul, he literally felt nothing. He lost that ability completely, so he had no anger, or rage, or fear, or worry, or empathy, anything at all. The only thing he could do what was the most logical for his survival. He let things hurt Dean, or walked away from Dean, or turned on him not because he wanted to, but because it made the most sense at the time. He wasn't cruel, just coldly practical. Yeah, he remembered feeling things, but he had no connection to them, so they held no meaning. But Dean isn't soulless, his soul has just been corrupted. He is still very much attached to those memories, those feelings. If anything, his emotions have just been heightened, and over sensitized, especially things like rage, or pleasure (blood lust, or Dean's usual kind, take your pick lol). And protecting Sammy is such a deeply engraved instinct into Dean, of course its going to be amplified as well, even if the way he goes about it has changed. Don't get me wrong, Deanmon is evil. He is sadistic and cruel and vicious, and absolutely dangerous to everyone, including Sam, but he is still, at heart, Dean. His emotions, his memories, just tormented and twisted into a new form. He has the connections still that Sam lost without his soul, and while in some ways that makes him more dangerous (sadistic glee in my opinion is worse that cold, ruthless efficiency), he is also still handicapped by humanity in a way Sam wasn't. He can try to run from Sam, spew absolutely vile, hateful things at him, try to push Sam further and further away, and even take a swing or two at him, but he can't mortally wound Sam. If anything, I think the closest comparison would be Sam on demon blood, when Sam did a lot of the same stuff. Sneaking away, teaming up with a demon, using his new found abilities, saying some hateful stuff to Dean, even hurting him physically, but never going for that kill shot, never doing anything that would actually permanently take Dean out. But, because of that, I think this really was something Dean needs to experience, to understand completely, because I think this whole thing is what gives Dean the empathy to finally let go of all that Apocalypse crap, and fully forgive Sam when he can see exactly what Sam was struggling with. Dean being a demon, I am convinced, and everything that follows, is what lets Sam and Dean regroup and restart in season 11, and finally, really, become equal partners in the family business, while also, honestly, rebooting their brotherhood to a healthier, stronger place than it was even in season 1
