Izel, in my opinion, is probably the weakest AoS villain - she’s just kind of generically evil and makes some pretty random choices! I think she’s why some fans don’t think as highly of this season. I love the Deke development in this episode, after a season of him being a bit of a douche. And yes the techbro parallels are very unfortunate, but his speech about why he built the company is a lovely character beat - when you actually consider what he’s been through, it’s pretty tragic. He’s lost all of his friends and family from his own time, and now in this time, no one likes him either! I think he deserves some sympathy. And I guess because I come from a very non religious country, but Mack’s religious references don’t bother or stick out to me so much. It’s just part of what he uses in his arguments to convey his passion. And to me, he was always that passionate and moralistic. It was one of the main character points for him in season 2. At times it’s a good thing, other times, less so. I do understand why it would frustrate you though! The Chronicom stuff will become more relevant/interesting soon, but I get why the little scenes we’re getting here and there seem a bit random at this point. And Pachakutiq is the name for Sarge’s true self!! It’s a hard one haha

Remember the use the Bible against me line. So he has his own conflicts between science and religion similar to Leopold vs Fitz struggles between himself. He uses religion as a metaphor to understand who he is fighting but that doesn't mean he is telling Daisy that Sarge is actually the devil just that they are not to be trusted because they don't really understand what he truly is yet. As in what Patchy is. This season is definitely doing science vs religion They are using technology to fight izel who is trying to get spirits to possess everyone. I left the season 6 poster in the discord chat. Even that screams religious imagery.
