XD Yeah I got a bit of a soft spot for the fanfic gap fics to this ep.

2025-04-16 21:38:16 +0000 UTCi dont think it was a matter of Sam’ playing dumb for so long about Gadreel, i think he was very much curious about what was happening but i think he just trusted Dean so much, everytime Dean said it wasnt an issue or anything to worry about, that Sam genuinely believed him, and then started internalizing the issue and thinking something was off about him, not that there was something else going on all together. Sam at this point has no reason not to believe Dean, and, in fact, after the church, is probably doubling down on having faith in Dean and trusting him no matter what, even over his own instincts. Thats why i think it hurts Sam soo deeply, enrages him so much, when he finds out Dean not only tricked him in the first place, but used that trust to lie to and manipulate him for so long afterwards
