The character of Enoch is great and I always felt like him being an observer and his love of Fitz is based around the fact that he is sort of the audience surrogate. Lots of fans have Fitz as their favorite

I think you break down Mack’s character really well. I love his idealism, and often it’s one of his best attributes, but it definitely errs into self righteousness and judgement on occasion, and that causes problems - it’s realistic and great character writing though. And I love Enoch’s goodbye to Fitz so much. Such a lovely character and friendship. Enjoyed seeing that underneath all his Scottish grump, Fitz actually cares a lot for him :)
