I like the simple fact that Mulder and Scully are in the same scenes. That is a good thing! Another good thing is season 11-Mulder. One of the best version of him. The episode is better than the last ones and I’m here for the improvement. And the size difference in their shoooooeeeeees😍

Fun Fact. 2 of the kids ridding on the bus with Mulder and Scully are Gillian Anderson's sons. The boy sitting up front and the boy siting directly behind her.

I always wondered if they tried to make a connection to the ep "Kill Switch" in season 5. It also was about uploading consciousness into a virtual afterlife, and the Gunmen were there, too.

So much stuff to find in this episode, even hardcore fans might miss. Kudos to Glen Morgan who wrote and directed the ep. Glen Morgan and James Wong were the actual creators of the Lone Gunmen characters and Skinner as well. They wrote these characters into the show, back in season 1. Had nothing to do with Chris Carter. It's no surprise that Deep Throats name was Ronald. In season 4 "Musings of a cigarette smoking man", (also by Glen Morgan and James Wong) there was a flashback scene, showing the CSM and Deep Throat, and the CSM called him Ronald. There even was a throwback to the Millennium series, which is a bit complicated to explain, and you haven't seen that show. Morgan and Wong always tried to create their own little lore, besides the one Carter tried to establish. That's something I like about Morgan and Wong, their love for the fans, the characters, the lore and the details. That's what makes this episode good for me. It's definately one of the better episodes of the revival. It's not perfect, but like you said, the bar is low now. 🙈 Some things were a bit cringe again, especially the Barbara Hershey part. But hey, they are trying. 😅

No name for the new syndicate. It's just "Mr. Y" and "Erika Price". Glad you enjoyed the episode. Many fans quite enjoy it because of the banter, especially shippers. I didn't much care for it personally. Of course it's much better than the last three episodes, but, lol... that's not hard to do.
