With the shorten season and less time to tell this story you will notice that we can't focus on too many characters each episode. This episode was Earth team and Fitz and Enoch while last episode it was Earth team and Daisy and Simmons. Normally we get the whole team in episodes for the most part but this season there will be more episodes focusing on separate groups. Fitz acknowledged that he still has the same issue that the other Fitz did. Leopold is still in there but there is alot less stress and urgency this time so Fitz's normal morality comes through. After a year he has gone through a similar arc as last season Fitz and was even willing to risk his life for innocent people and has decided to help them first over his own goal. Normally Fitzsimmons are on the same page but Simmons did the opposite which is why they missed each other. She was selfish while he is being selfless.
