This episode aired 9 years ago on Feb. 1st and i made a FB post about it.
Tonight's X-Files was a perfect example of a classic episode. So bizarre, but wonderful. Plus the tribute to Kim Manners was sweet. I had seen the released pics, but it was nice to see it in the episode. "Let's kick it in the ass"
Also, I think Dean Winchester was involved in the naming of the episode. I could also see him proudly saying "Were-Lizard". And then Sam rolls his eyes just like in the episode "Baby".
"Baby" would've only aired a few months before this episode did.

STONERS! That's what I wanted to describe them as, not druggies. I had a brain freeze when I was trying to describe them.

This Episode is not only my number one favorite for the x files revival but is one of my top ten favorites for the entire series. This ranks up there with season 2 episode 20 Humbug, season 3 Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Season 4 episode 2 Home, and season 6 dreamland 1 and 2!!! I love when the trans woman tells Mulder and Scully that the police think she's on crack and when Mulder ask her if she is, she says Yes!!!

I loved when the two stoners from War of the Coprophages and Quagmire were in this. I knew this was going to be the funny one for this season when I saw them at the beginning of the episode!!!

I love how this episode is hilarious, clever, and emotional all at once. Darin Morgan really always nails it! Definitely one of the best episodes, and it alone makes this revival worth it. And there are so many easter eggs! Thank you for the amazing reactions!!

Welcome back Darin Morgan, his episodes are just insane and meta. He invented X Files comedy, his last one was "Jose Chungs from outer space" season 3.
You're right, also for me the funniest episode since Bad Blood, season 5. And I would say, it's a top ten episode of all time (entire run). That's a good example for what I meant, when I said, that I don't like everything about this season, but I gladly take the good things. There are incredibly good ones and incredible bad ones in this. One thing is clear, so far it's not Chris Carter, who makes this revival so enjoyable.

Mulders red underwear was a callback to season 2 episode 5 when he wore the red speedo.

It feels like a Darin episode so I totally get it. It’s funny because he did an interview recently and even his father thinks he wrote that episode.

Yeah you're correct. Small Potatoes was a Gilligan episode.

Loved this reaction!! When this aired I couldn’t help but giggle when scully said “that’s how I like my mulder” and the whole story telling was so great. The cell phone photos/video was just perfection. This is one of my faves as well. Until the next one

Darin never lets us down and Rhys was perfect for this role!
I think he only acted in Small Potatoes. It’s a Gilligan episode.

If you guys didn't know already, this episode was written and directed by Darin Morgan who wrote some of the funnier episodes from the OG Seasons like Humbug, Clyde Bruckman..., War of the Coprophages, Small Potatoes.
Also those 2 Druggies during the cold open were call backs to earlier episodes. They were in War of the Coprophages and Quagmire.
