2024-10-25 12:42:26 +0000 UTCThe chief lied to the prisoner about the cyanide, it was actually just a breath mint. The scene after he leaves the cell, he offers the guard a mint from the watch, and then eats one himself. So the prisoner very much didn't get an easy way out.
