One of my least favorites ever. What a waste of a fantastic actor Burt Reynolds IMO. I still liked your video because your reaction was fun and enjoyable. :)

Fun fact: Chris Carter kept the idea for this episode for years, he just waited for the right moment. And now that he knew the show wouldn't be renewed, he decided to make this one.
Yeah it's one of his 'weird' experimental ones, like post modern prometheus or fight club. Some love it, some hate it. It's an aquired taste. The episode is full of symbolism. Carter wanted to make an episode about god and satan, playing a game on humans. Burt Reynolds plays god here, his enemy plays satan, allthough they never really say it out loud in that episode. I think the hints are clear. At first they feared they wouldn't get Burt Reynolds for this, but he was excited to get the chance to play no one less than the almighty god. π
