Quite possibly the best season opener and like I saw someone else comment and heard you say, we are in the same boat as our team: lots of questions and confusion and not many answers! And plot twist: there's another monolith! This time instead of taking them through space, they are taking them to the same place, but a different time! FUTUREEEEEE

2024-08-12 20:22:25 +0000 UTCAs others have said, this is my favourite season opener. I love how we are thrown into the same situation as our characters, so many questions with not many answers. The byplay between Mack and Simmons was fun to watch and the points going to Jemma for her 'I figured it out using magic'. Also loved that experienced monolith traveller Jemma Simmons immediately clocked onto the new monolith and never took her eyes off of it. Such a fun start to the season, hope you enjoy it!

2024-08-12 02:10:19 +0000 UTCIf you were to divide the show into two parts this season would be the new start to the arc of the show. We have lost everything we are use to. No base, no government, no shield and no earth. So many introductions and new mysteries. We saw the team get swallowed by the monolith so it has caused their time displacement.

Just effortlessly tightly written, well paced, surprising, intriguing, *truly* funny, as well as acting as a great, great opener and introduction to this new season and setting. Part of the reason the writers are able to take such time in the storytelling and plot details of this one, something which I love, is that this is a part one which was aired together with the second part. Also love this one because it introduces another one of my favourite performers and cast members of the show - Jeff Ward (yes really that’s his name!) as Deke immediately gives a very engaging, charismatic performance. One of my favourite behind the scenes stories is that he was originally cast as the short lived Virgil, but wowed everyone so much at the table read that he was bumped up! Loved this reaction and so excited for the next :)
