2024-08-12 12:45:19 +0000 UTCI recently listened to a podcast about the finale that shed some very interesting light and perspective on how/why different fandom factions felt. I've been in this fandom forever, and even I learned a few new things that helped me understand some things I didn't. Especially about the conspiracies that were floated, and that the last three episodes were three different endings for the different sections of fandom. Also until fairly recently one wasn't allowed to drive manual stick if one learned/made their license on an automatic, which is why most people learned on manual stick, since then they could still decide which one they'd wanna have afterwards. Also some driving schools (and here you have to go to driving school to get your license) don't even offer automatic. So that already set most people up to know how to drive manual stick.

Dean is a character that has suicidal tendencies and to have him end up dead to find "peace" ultimately sends a weird message... even to this day i still feel angry and I wish its ending doesn't make me feel that way...

2024-08-09 06:27:44 +0000 UTCYes, and I also agree that bringing Dean back as a hero in TW enabled Jensen to feel as good as possible about the SPN ending where he had to โtake it or leave it.โ He took it, and made something healing out of it.
