I am having a tough time getting motivated to watch this season. It's very dark and also maybe going too deep into connecting with what's happening in real life. I am looking for escape and in seeing the Good Guys win. I appreciate The Boys. I do. Seeing the protagonists I've been rooting for turn out to have darker pasts than I expected has been a bit hard. It's so true to life, while also being far from real life. Odd balance. I don't want the show to keep trying to top itself on the crazy. I was surprised to find out that Butcher did take V. I had been thinking that he should, and that it would save him. But no. He took it and is still dying. But something odd is going on with him.

2024-07-22 01:28:05 +0000 UTCThis season has definitely been more of a downer so far, with little to cheer for, and less joking along the way. Since Butcher says he took the regular blue V, it does seem like he should be a supe now. I don’t think it was something we saw before.
