Update/Sales Tax/VAT/GST

I got an e-mail from Patreon recently, notifying that they're going to charge sales tax from patrons starting July 1st. It depends on the location of patron and on the tier reward. Here's the full information they've sent.
As I understood, most of digitals pledges are excluded from those that are being charged, so I hope you won't be affected. Also Patreon claims that on a $5 pledge, the tax would be between 20 cents and 55 cents.
As I know, Patreon will reach out all the patrons as well, but later, for some reason they decided to let the creators know first (SIGH...)
