I really love this episode. I'm a huge fan of Outsider POV fic, so to actually have this view of Sam & Dean as a cannon episode makes it one of my go-to pick-me-ups. :)
And it's both serious and very funny.

I'm a bit behind after being out of town, but Ghostfacers was the first episode back after the writer's strike, not the last one before. If you're still listening to the rewtach podcast you might have already learned that.

I don't much care about this episode, but I don't hate it. It's not because Sam and Dean aren't front and center either. I'd be totally stoked for an episode with just Jodi and Donna. I just never got interested in these silly characters and how they were used. They're made to look overly stupid and incompetent. I can understand why, but I think it's a bit much. And insulting.

I don't really care for ghostfacers and didn't vote for this one but i enjoyed your reaction to it more than I thought I would, especially with the despair unintentional parallels

The scene where Sam and Dean do a drive by with "American Band" cranking and they get called hicks always cracks me up.
Didn't see it yet here in the comments, but this episode was nominated for a GLAAD award.

I enjoy their goofy antics and the boys getting a chance to swear.

I actually enjoy this episode more now than the first time I watched it. But I admit, I was kind of surprised this won in the poll since the episode is kind of polarizing in the fandom. I agree with BexFanGirl, I think people either really enjoy it for what it is, or hate it. I think it's a fun little one off. I still laugh at the "Get in your duffle?" line LOL Poor Corbett, he seemed like a real sweetheart. I agree I love "seeing" our boys be able to cuss LOL. (Which is kind of odd since I don't usually cuss much myself).. but it just seems much more authentic to who they are. I am sooo excited to get to Lazarus Rising to watch you enjoying Cas's arrival again. =) My first watch of the show, I didn't totally see Destiel for a LONG time into it. I was never anti-shipping them... I just wasn't personally sure it was there. But by the end, and especially on rewatches, I'm like... OMG... it is so obvious. LOL I loved seeing their relationship grow (however one wants to interpret it)... and all the tension, and pain and love throughout their journey. I still stand on the hill that Destiel is the most beautiful love story they (maybe) never intended to write. <3

I like this episode a lot. I was a big fan of the ghost hunting shows back when there were a million of them on TV so seeing a spoof on them is hilarious. I love that the guys get to swear and any opportunity to see them through other people's eyes is interesting.

I agree this episode is the Ghost facers best outing but it is still just a OK episode for me, I just never connected to the characters. I do however always appreciate them doing the 'weird' or concept episodes even when they do not fully work out.

For me it's not about the Ghostfacers, I actually do enjoy them. But I don't like these style of episodes and I think a lot of people have a complete hate or love relationship with found footage/documentary styled stuff. So I think that might be a big factor in the imdb rating.
