Watching this episode again - at least the failed executions - is a must. The little details, the tiniest shift of voice or facial expression is a delight.
This past week, Kripke was on Rob & Rich's podcast and he talked a little about the book, Good Omens and I learned a few things I hadn't known before.
And did you know Misha and Michael Sheen got together some years back, for a charity, selling a winged necklace promoting both their angel characters?
Really looking forward to watching Season 2 with you. And yes, little tidbits are surfacing about Season 3 in the works.π€β¨

When I watched this show I was relatively new to online fandom (ca. 1 year) and the fandom I was mainly involved in was in it's last breaths, so a lot of people started to move on and this was a popular watch. And I remember when I finished this I was very much starting to ship Aziraphale and Crowley, so one of the first things after watching was that I asked a fandom friend for their shipname. XD
It's "ineffeable husbands". Though I've seen more and more people use "Aziracrow" as well.

Yes this is were the first book ends. I haven't read it, but I had that information when I watched the show back shortly after it came out and I did not know there would ever be a second season. I did hope for it, but I gave up at some point since it took a while and I was very very excited when the official announcement for season two filming hit social media (years later).

"Crowley" didn't use the car, because it was Aziraphale. Looking back on it their behavior is really slightly different and David Tennant and Michael Sheen did a great job to put those nuances in, but not too much that one would notice at a first watch necessarily.
When I first watched it I think I got the idea that they might have swapped places when Crowley as Aziraphale spit that fire blast.

Great reaction! Such a fun and satisfying finale, Iβm so glad you enjoyed it so much! And Iβm *so* glad you think Crowley and Aziraphale are as cute as I do haha!
I should say that they never intended to make a season 2 or 3. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett had been trying to get an adaptation of the Good Omens book made for years, and it was just before Terry died that he asked Neil to make sure it would happen. And so Good Omens (which is now season 1) was made, which covered the entirety of the book. However a few years later, Neil Gaiman obviously had a few more ideas to continue the story, and so season 2 arrived, just last year, with at least one more season to follow!
Looking forward to rewatching season 2 with you!
