First of all I'm happy you're feeling better and are back.
I really liked this style for the wrap up.

I think the reason I don’t personally have Nightmare as high, is that I just don’t enjoy watching an episode that has horrific child abuse as a central component of the story. The expansion on Sam’s physic power is interesting though.

Yes, you are right. BL were given about a week to write 666.

I skipped Route 666 the first time I binge watched Supernatural - but that meant I missed Cassie/Dean, which is so important in understanding Dean! He fell in love so quickly and opened his heart to her, and got rebuffed because she couldn't handle (or didn't believe) that he was a monster hunter. And also the fact that Sam knows so little about him at that point, just as a child knows little about their parent - unlike Dean, Sam was 100% on hiding his hunter knowledge from Jess. Everything else about it though, fair enough. To be fair to Buckleming (not something I'd usually say) I believe they had to write it in a hurry to fill a hole when something else fell through – but it does expose the shallowness of their take on social issues.

I personally would rank Provenance higher just because it's one of my faves, and maybe Bloody Mary a bit as well because I remember it having a solid horror vibe that I enjoyed. But otherwise I'm on board with where you put things.

I really love nightmare too!! I was so sad to see it not win the poll, anytime we see sam's powers is so precious to me.
I just wanted to give you a follow up on me reading the SPN comics for the first time, last time I commented about it, I had only seen the first two comics, now I finished the other two as well, while the first two comics answer some questions about pre show John and makes you understand some of his decisions, the third comic really reminds you that he's a huge dick, it was so weird because the third comic is written by Andrew dabb, so Andrew dabb made john a physically abusive dick in the comics yet he goes on and write 14x13 Lebanon where he's the biggest john apologist, like I just wanna talk! Andrew dabb has always been so contradictory in so many ways but especially when it comes to John (and the series finale), I don't know why I thought kripke personally wrote the comics but someone corrected me on that, kripke only wrote 3 pages in the second comic which is a separate unrelated ghost facers story, but still at least one show runner (dabb) wrote one of the comics and kripke was aware of the comics not sure if he had to give his approval or not, but it was still a very informative and enjoyable read, highly recommend

I think your ratings are more generous than mine would be. I'm good with that 6.8 on Bugs, I would just rate Route 666 as low. I like Cassie and that's the one plus to that episode. I can't really say why, but I'm not a fan of Nightmare. I appreciate what the episode does for the mythology, but I'm not a big fan. It's the same with Crossroad Blues for me. Super important mythology episode, not my favorite episode. As a side note, I like the Robert Johnson episode in Timeless better. Favorite episodes in the reply.
