Yes, they did it! Always the frustration to us, shippers...I know! But, they did it and that´s a fact! My theory: Scully woke up at one point, on his couch, and went to his room. The episode is all about how she sort of comes to terms with issues from her past that somehow still bother her. I feel like here she kind of breaks free and opens herself up to taking the next step with Mulder. He's clearly just waiting for her, it's her decision.

Scully WAS putting on her clothes at the beginning and mulder WAS naked on that bed... cc would never have green light a sex scene, but it did happens. Now was this their first time or did it happened before this episode? that's the battle between fans but they did have sex in all things 🔥, that's why txf make of fanfic a cultural fenomenon. In other themes, I remember Gillian talking about how she if could redone the episode, she would have changed her approach about the cancer/sickness she took because about what her sister or brother had to went through. Editing this part to add: maybe she said something like this not in reference to this episode but to scully cancer's arc
