Glad to see Jack might finally be back on the Board, but I don't trust Billie's influence over him. She's always hated the Winchesters. Her using Jack to do her bidding is the same as Duma using Jack to do her bidding. Hopefully Jack goes to the Bunker and his three Dad's influence will countermand anything Billie wants to use him for. Is Eileen leaving Sam, or just leaving the Bunker. I got the impression she just needed some time to come to terms with everything. I hope we see her again, but if not, at least we know she's alive again. Yay Claire's dead!!!!! At least in the God-caged future. I can't STAND her. But boo about Donna & Alex. I tend to believe Chuck's vision because of Cas going to take the MoC. That happens separately without Dean & Cas knowning what Chuck is showing Sam, so it seems organic. And it makes sense that the monsters would rage out of control with God being caged. Honestly if having Cas take the MoC means a caged God, then I would prefer him uncaged. I don't want Cas to take that on. Or Sam, Eileen or any of their other friends.

Four things particularly bump for me in this episode. 1) Dean leaving while Sam is trapped with literal god, even if it’s the dumb choice to go to him, I don’t buy him leaving. We conveniently don’t see the part of the convo where he agrees. 2) The fact that Sam just believes Chuck is telling the truth … why? Chuck even sounded like he was lying. 3) If the show wanted to sell to me that Sam actually lost faith, and believed Chuck, what he (and we) saw should have been way more horrifying and way less cringey. Unless Sam was terrified of a campy future with bad fangs. 4) "Hope" being lost somehow makes the god-wound, and the link to Chuck, disappear … what? First, that’s some Care Bears crap, not SPN. Second, how?? Did Sam shoot Chuck with the piece of his soul that was hope? Because that doesn’t make sense. I do buy Eileen leaving after what happened since I don’t blame her for not knowing what is real between then, and she probably feels bad about stabbing Sam even though it wasn’t her fault. She also might worry Chuck would use her against them again. I originally wrote a post about Dean and Cas not having an inherently romantic relationship in this episode, despite what some comments say, but I deleted it. I still don’t agree that it’s text, but D&C Shippers might as well enjoy this one because most of the episode doesn’t work for me on some fundamental levels. Also, why no Benny? I’m glad Dean forgave Cas because Mary dying was more her own fault than anyone else’s (besides Jack, of course). I’m glad Jack seems to be on his way back.
