Even though it only being a sidenote in the episode I think his testing crash had a huge impact on RSC and the remains of his racing career. Last year there were two separate interviews with Franz Tost (close pal to RSC and Team member of Williams back then) and RSC himself on german coverage. Within the first Tost stated that he thinks that the crash in Monza had a greater influence on Ralf than Indy 2004 had. In the interview with Ralf he pointed out that the cause of the accident was a collapsing rear suspension which send him in a roll along the length of the car. This suspension, he claimed, had been the same he raced in Hungary - remember BARRICHELLOs crash during the race there due to a the rear left wheel flying off after the suspension broke! And also that Frank Williams and Patrick Head behave very strange to him for stepping away from racing that weekend, including threatened actions by lawyers. Unimaginable by todays standards and approaches towards concussed drivers.
