Ah yes. The maddening and wretched existence of the Mulder/Scully shipper. It is the show's delight to torment and tease and frustrate us. Now imagine watching it in real time, spending YEARS grasping desperately onto every meager show of affection between our beloved agents, all while the show's creator laughed at us and kept telling us it would never ever ever happen. Thank God for fanfiction.
