Insightful take. I'm a bit frustrated with Otmar's input in these but not sure why and you put the finger squarely on it. This is so prevalent currently, everything is all media-managed.

You can tell he’s still got his eyes on getting back to a team by the overly diplomatic way he answers questions. Not saying he needs to be a Steiner with brutality but there’s not really much knowledge to gain from a media trained response
