I love Rowena. I do. She's smart and complicated and delightful. Do I ship her and Sam? Maybe...okay, yes. They're a good match.

Another scene we can't watch without thinking of the bloopers...

I love the Rowena episodes! The dynamic between her and Sam is just so compelling, even before we learned of her fate.
The stuff in heaven was really good, too. When you think of how many angels Cas has personally killed... of course he's feeling guilty.

I also think it's so dumb of dean to tell a powerful witch that Sam is her doom, it's like asking for her to kill Sam 🤦🏻♀️

This is my in my top 4 episodes this season, Steve yockey (the writer) did a great job, see how awesome an episode can be when you don't have lucifer or ketch and have women instead? That's what happens when you hire diverse writers like yockey he writes Rowena amazingly and gives her purpose and makes her sympathetic, chef's kiss, this is a huge samwena episode, listen when Rowena ripped off sam's clothes he was so into it, I'll share gifs in the discord, that tragic fate is so Romeo & Juliet shit, the way she couldn't kill him 🥺, the way he didn't want to believe she is bad, the way he didn't wanna kill her & the way knowing he was her permeant doom gave her strength to be less scarred of Lucifer who killed her twice, loved it, Steve yockey's episodes are usually awesome, he's the one who wrote Celebrating The Life Of Asa Fox, Lily sunder has some regrets, Twigs and Twine and Tasha Banes, advanced thanatology and Various & Sundry Villains (which was also a huge Rowena episode) and i literally loved every one of them, he's amazing 😍, listen i hate Naomi so much for what she did to cas but i like her as a character (definitely more than lucifer) coz she always had a purpose which is to protect heaven not power like metatron or lucifer, lucifer could never, cas killed almost half of the angels back in season 6 and they did the rest killing each other in civil war in season 9 so cas definitely feels guilty and responsable for this, it's so sad seeing him watching his home crumble 😭, seeing Rowena with her purple eyes and purple magic is so glorious, i love that Rowena calls castiel the handsome angel, i always said that woman has good taste and it's so cute how cas got flustered and didn't know what to say 🥰

I love, love this Rowena episode. Glad that you like this episode too, Shelley, and great reaction.
About Lucifer, I think that it was kinda implied that Lucifer had gone off to find his bliss in fatherhood by "I devote myself to finding Jack" ... they had this convo - him and Anael - by the end of the last episode. So the angels not mentioning him to Cas, it would also mean that Lucifer would have left already... And his epic failure to step into the act of being god was not even worth talking about to anyone, I guess ...
I also loved that Cas in heaven while waiting for Duma/Naomi, was shown in such a mood - he is evolving and definitely becoming more humanized when we compared this with the way he would just stand quietly waiting by the roadside way back when for Dean to sleep first in The End.
Four episodes left ... these last few ones were such a ride ending with a banger of a season finale ... cannot wait for you to watch the rest of the season ...

FYI Shelley, there's an error in your episode count in the title, it is 13x19 not 13x9

This is one of my favorite episodes. I love my Queen, Rowena, in this one. She is perfect in this episode, in my opinion. i also love Jessica, Naomi and Billie in this one. I love the Billie and Rowena scene. I love Naomi not apologizing for what she did. Not because I think she was right, but I love that she did what she did and thought was right, and she won't apologize for that. Jessica was hysterical. Dean and Cas were great, as usual. I even liked Sam in this episode. I also like how we know now that it's Sam who is meant to kill Rowena. Interesting. I enjoy their relationship very much, not as a couple, just as friends in a way. I will say, there was one scene that all I could think of while watching it, was the bloopers😁 great reaction to a great episode.
