Before I ask my question Simon, I just want to point out that while there are riders willing to road race, I will always support them. Road racing is totally different to track racing, and I respect both disciplines with equal awre and respect. We know that the road racing is dangerous and the TT organisation is very proactive is looking for and mitigating risk along the circuit, but my question is with machines. Every year the top riders are looking to beat last years top speed or time record. At what point will race organisers or teams step in and say, look 140mph lap record is quick enough? Or will the need for speed be always there? After all, I suppose that's kinda the point of the TT is to be the fastest.
