Quartararo's heartbreak, Aprilia's relief and a Ducati shocker (ad-free)

A mad British Grand Prix Sunday broke Yamaha's heart and uplifted Aprilia - but why did Ducati allow either to fight for the win in the first place?

Simon Patterson and Megan White discuss this in the latest The Race MotoGP Podcast after a weekend at the track, with Simon having dug up details on how the 2025-spec Ducati differs from last year's version after all.

They also get into the question of how far along Yamaha is really, and whether Honda might actually be in equally good or better shape. And there's a discussion of what this sudden win does for Aprilia amid its ongoing Jorge Martin 'situation'.

Finally, with poor attendance numbers this weekend, they discuss what Silverstone could be doing differently as the British home of MotoGP.

The promotion of the British MotoGP was non existent. Basically, from what I've experience this year, there was no promotion at all except on motogp Podcasts, MotoGP written press, motorcycle mags and a bit on TNT Sports. Silverstone didn't want us there. From simple things like, in the official programme no support races were shown in the full page event agenda. I was sat with people asking what the bikes were going around- it was the British talent cup. The Superstock paddock was completely open so you talk to and look around the bikes in the garages, but so many of the mechanics/team members said its been really quiet. With little or no interest. I had a 5 min chat with Luke Mossey, with no interruptions. The split main stage and food/merchandise area caused mayhem with long queues to get over the bridge. Great shout for MSV to promote the event. Ticket pricing isn't an issue £120 for 3 days is pretty damn good. But having no walk up child's prices is ludicrous. A 14 year just turning up would cost £100 on main race day. I like TNT sport, but when they show all the motorcycle racing bar the TT, they have to take some responsibility for promotion too. They have at least 6 channels from TNTsports 1 to 5, why delay the sprint race coverage? Also, TNT make a big thing of the Day of Legends on the Thursday, they could show coverage of that in the build up. We were at Silverstone last year when they announced the dates for thus years race, and straight away fans around us were saying that clashes with Monaco and the TT.

Even though it was a great race I switched over to watch the start of the F1
