1993 Revisited heads to one of the most famous races from that season, and certainly the most famous opening lap, as we look back at Ayrton Senna’s commanding performance in mixed conditions at Donington.
We discuss if Senna’s rivals could have done more to interrupt his incredible first lap, and then move onto the contrasting approach to race strategy taken by Senna and the Williams drivers on a day where the weather couldn’t make its mind up.
There’s also a chance to sympathise with the other Brazilian hero of this race, Rubens Barrichello, and we tip our hats to Johnny Herbert, who only pitted once in a race famous for how many times everybody else was coming in to change tyres.
